The iDiscover Core #96 group out in Antalya
Hi Reader,
I just got back from beautiful Antalya, Turkey, where I teached the 96th iDiscover Core programme with an incredible group of individuals.
As we venture into the heart of spring, it's the perfect time to reflect on our vitality level in each aspect of our lives and explore where we might be experiencing a lack of alignment.
Through my years of closely collaborating with individuals on their journey to career fulfilment, I've witnessed and experienced firsthand the universal patterns that cause burnout, all of which are intricately linked to a sense of meaning and purpose.
As the career landscape undergoes rapid changes with significant implications for the job market, we're compelled to reevaluate our relationship with work.
I value your insights and feedback. Please share your thoughts and let’s continue the conversation together.

The Seven Causes Of Burnout
Curious about the silent epidemic of burnout and its causes? Join me in exploring the seven causes in my latest Medium piece! Let's uncover the root causes, challenge misconceptions, and craft a strategy for alignment together.
‘My view is that burnout is a natural response of our physio-mental system. It’s your body telling us there is an acute misalignment in your life. It's trying to awaken us to live a more authentic life. If you truly listen to your body, you will understand it's actually trying to help you.’

‘There is a vitality, a life force, an energy...that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist... The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.’
Legendary Choreographer Martha Graham
Here, Martha Graham prompts us to assess our actions and creative endeavours based on their alignment with our true selves, urging us not to compare ourselves to others. She claims the more authentic our work is, the more vital we will feel, and the more impactful it will be. The word authentic derives from Greek authentikos "original, genuine, principal," from authentes "one acting on one's own authority.
What are the current boundaries defining your creative work? And what changes can you make to enhance its authenticity?

The Cult of Beauty: Welcome Collection
The installation ‘Beauty Sensorium’ by Renaissance Goo x Baum & Leahy brings together historical references with reconstructions of Renaissance make-up recipes, inviting visitors to look, smell and touch.
What does beauty mean to you? What does it mean to different cultures and communities, particularly marginalised ones, in our world today? A few weeks ago my friend Gioulia invited me to join this exhibition in London. What I found compelling about it wasn't the curation, but the subject line and the way it was categorised, it invites us to claim agency over our identities and to define beauty according to our own values.
Ideals of beauty have existed in every culture and era. Attaining and sustaining these qualities sometimes becomes a cult-like pursuit. Philosophers look to define beauty, artists try to capture it, and scientists innovate to achieve it. While these definitions are not universal, our emotional connection to beauty is shared.
It inspires feelings ranging from desire to rejection, pain to pleasure, ecstasy to greed. Our inner relationship to beauty is an intrinsic part of life for many of us, directly linked to our sense of health and wellbeing.
We’re challenged to confront the myriad of influences shaping our perceptions - morality, status, health, age, race and gender.
You can see the Cult of Beauty exhibition until April 28.
