Last Tuesday I hosted a talk at my place in London about the challenges of modern living

During winter, trees appear lifeless, but beneath the surface, their roots grow deeper, preparing for spring. When the time is right, they burst forth with fresh leaves and blossoms, revealing the beauty that was nurtured in silence.
We are beginning to witness nature’s transition from deep winter hibernation to the full self-expression of spring. Though the change is already underway, it remains mostly underground and subtle—on the surface, it may even seem like regression. In reality, nature is taking one final deep breath before unfolding its full strength and beauty in the coming weeks, transforming winter’s quiet into a glorious celebration of life and renewal.
There is a time for rest, and there is a time to flourish. Trees with budding leaves, seeds germinating underground, butterflies emerging from cocoons—each follows its own rhythm of transformation.
As part of nature, we humans mirror these cycles. Our nature is an extension of the natural world. We, too, are shifting—from an internal journey to an external one. But for this outward expression to be truly authentic, we must first turn inward, asking ourselves profound questions—because the questions we ask shape the path we take.
Nature teaches us that true, aligned, and authentic self-expression begins with inner work. The deeper we explore and cultivate within, the more unique, beautiful, and joyful our outward expression will be when the time for spring arrives.
